Weekly Photo Challenge: Fleeting

Time is fleeting. In three short months I will be on a plane back home. When I first arrived I was told my time here would fly by, I didn’t believe them at first, but so it has. Once I had settled into my new life and new work, everything just started to pass by so quickly. The weeks started to melt together, and it began to feel surreal how fast things were moving. It doesn’t feel like I’ve been here for 9 months already. But I have, and I will be leaving soon.

Today my boss booked my ticket home. Its a symbol of the finality of my time here. Confirmation that I am indeed leaving, and it’s quickly approaching.

Fleeting1I’ve been thinking about time and it’s fleetingness a lot lately, especially since many of my close friends have left in the past few months. All the time we spend investing in a friendship just for it to end. I’ll always remember these folks, and hopefully will be able to visit them in the future. My friendships here are fleeting, but I would still never give them up for anything. I’ve met so many amazing people and made many great friends.
